Description

The background of this beach scene shows a row of houses with a monotone blue wash which contrasts with the foreground beach roses that pop with color! The image was created by scratching through the black outer layer of a clayboard into white clay. The scratch marks in the white clay were then painted with clayboard inks producing the final image.
